Ottobre Woman 5/2011 ..Love it!

Have you got your issue yet?
Isn't it beautiful?
Crafty Mamas has lots on hand for immediate delivery.
Perfect for this crazy weather we are having!

Why do I love Otto so much?
Their styles are timeless, and not fussy, real designs for real people.
You can select an easier pattern if just beginning, and gradually build up your sewing skills, with Otto holding your hand along the way.
Otto's size range is brilliant, and includes plus sizes ( LOVE that!).
Euro sizes 34-52.
So tell me, what are you making from this issue?

New Colette patterns are here, and another #303

The lovely new Colette patterns arrived this morning! I think these will be very popular.

Grab yourself some COLETTE Goodness here!

The short sleeve, U neck version. This is STELLA is Dark Charcoal Marle, with Cherry neckband. One of my own iron on velours "VROOOMMMM".

#303 is just fantastic for chopping and changing. I have made so many over the years, but keep coming back to it. Depending on the type of knit you use, you get a different effect.

Another version, with spliced sleeves..

A Gilet version, great for Nighties...

As a sweater...

Stencilled, and made from Rib knit.

See why we love #303?

A pattern to live in!

More fun things with left over knit fabric!

We have a house full of illness this week, dreadful flu and even one with  pneumonia. So I have not had much crafting time, apart from a bit of crochet in the evenings. And I have been spending possibly too much time on craft blogs!

A while back I did post of ideas for left over knit fabrics  and today I found some more cool ideas! Stella would be perfect for these!

T Shirt Pom Poms at Craftaholics Anonymous

T Shirt Latch Hook Rug at Xoelle's

Jersey Necklace at I Still Love You

And some cool headbands at Make it and Love It.

Hey huh? Go check them out!

I have a  set of these  to Give-away, simply tell me why you would like to win these!

Good Luck!

And our WINNER is!

Blogger Liam's Mummy said...
There are some nice pants and a top that I can see myself making Liam from the Young Image magazine. There is also a lovely jacket (the one on the smaller cover girl) that I think is classic and would be lovely to make Amelie one day. But the main reason why I think you should pick me is for me and MY IMAGE. Which I really, really need help with these days.

Congratulations! I'll contact you shortly!

Crafty Mamas Iron On's ROCK!

Have you seen our range of velour and vinyl iron on's??

The most fantastic and groovy designs to add that finishing touch to your sewing projects- or even to a purchased garment.

All designed to match in with  our range of Farbenmix ribbons!

And you can find our very own Crafty Mamas iron on's HERE!

I try and add new design each week, time permitting! I make velour iron on's, which are soft and velvety- and vinyl irons. The vinyl are very clever- once applied, they feel almost like they have been  painted on.
The vinyl  material is completely eco-friendly (free of PVC and heavy metals) which is ideal to use for children's clothing.

Iron on's are quickly and easily applied with your iron, a sheet of baking paper and a hard surface. They wear very well, but keep them away from the clothes dryer to keep them looking fantastic.

I have to admit, I ADORE making these! I will also take some custom requests if I have time.
